No, Garbage isn't on the list, but I do have four albums from them as well.

Nothing by Genesis?  Nothing by Supertramp?  Nothing by Yes?  Nothing by Muse?  Nothing by Grateful Dead?  I could go on.

And yet we have an Oasis album?

Just ignore this type of ridiculous crap!  It's guaranteed to elevate your blood pressure to an unhealthy level.

The authors are actually trolls if that helps make more sense of things.

I counted 20 - at a glance. You can't seriously have a Greatest Albums list and not start it with the Elvis Christmas album - that's heresy! :P

Some aren't my favorite albums by these artists, i.e, I'd pick Electric Ladyland before Are You Experienced. But I guess that they factor in the "breakthrough" element.

Lots of stuff I have no interest in but can conceive that they'd be on such a list - I know Bob Dylan is great, I just don't need or like to listen to him. I can't conceive waking up one morning and going: wow, I really feel like listening to Bob Dylan singing for an hour... But it makes sense.

Others I can't stand (Arcade Fire? Really?!) and don't think they belong on any such list.

Plenty are missing - Tool, Depeche Mode, Alice Cooper, The Cure, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Kiss, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen - to name a few. They'd all have at least one or two albums in my top 100, way before Pearl Jam or Jay Z or, Kanye West...

Boooooooo Kanye, boooooo, booooo Kanye West....

And I'm sorry, if you're going to put kanye west and Jay z on the list: then where is NWA-Straight Outta Compton or The DOC-No One Can Do It Better. Those were TRUE groundbreaking albums in the rap world. Kanye and Jay Z wouldn't be anything if these guys wouldn't have paved the way. Yeah, I used to like a little rap in the late eighties. So Sue me.

I'm sure they had their rational but that is surely one strange list.
