LANEY
Only 8 more people to join the group buy at IK Multimedia for the 3rd free sound bank! You still have 7 seven days, I am pretty sure this will make it!
That's 4 for 1 great low price.

Who doesn't have that stuff already??  And why?  They've been practically giving it away like this for over three years!

Glad to hear you're getting in on it too though, ol pal.

You aren't that guy that got stranded on that island and talked to that volleyball all day and night are ya? :-)

I agree Ol Pal....I have them all already so wouldn't benefit in the least from this...
There are 2 that I don't have Film Score 1 and 2, and they're not in this group buy...
and are $29.99...so I'll pass...besides that...I"m boycotting....

But yes Laney, they are worth the money at 4 for $14.95....and glad you're getting them...

I've just got ST in the recent Group Buy so not got these - I mainly want the World Grooves collection - not sure what else to get - the pianos sound pretty good in the demo - I mainly write orchestral, World & folk stuff but the other collections in these genres don't sound too exciting - I quite like playing around with loops as well and some of the construction kits might be tempting - any suggestions as to which collections have the best sounds? I got Miroslav, SampleMoog, Sonik Synth & Sampletron as part of the ST group buy so looking for the sets that would complement these

Cheers

These probably aren't best for orchestral work, but I remember these sounding quite good and useful for many genre's:
Cinematik Collection
Hip Hop Instruments
Omni Synth 2
Sample OB Expander

If I'm not mistaken, some these sounds might already be included in the full versions of the synths.

I'm thinking Omni synth 2, Cinematik, acoustic piano 2 and have not decided on 4th.  I find hip-hop expansion packs tend to contain sounds too specific to whatever style of hip-hop was trendy at that moment.

Thanks for the suggestions - also thinking about the Symphonic Strings but not sure if they will be better / significantly different than those in Miroslav? Anyone got these and know?

I wouldn't say better, just different. The Miroslav collection was made by Miroslav Vitouš and is world renown. Symphonic Strings and the Cinematic Strings are newer collections recorded by IK and by eSoundz.
