Hey Everyone.

I found this freebie on the web, based on the EL8 Distressor Hardware.   I downloaded the 64bit VST plugin and tried it briefly on a vocal track and found it interesting.  I haven't had time to really experiment with it and see how it runs on large projects.

Hope it's useful for someone out there.

32-bit version wouldn't scan. To be fair, it is still in beta.

EDIT: on closer inspection, it appears to be incompatible with XP. It is making calls to nonexistent entrypoints in kernel32.dll. Oh well. I didn't really need another compressor anyway, it's just that "free" gets me every time.

I tried using it a bit more extensively.  I think there are still some issues with it - but I will keep an eye out for future updates.

I too have plenty of compressor plugins - but I am fascinated by the whole "Distressor" concept.  I know a lot of studios swear by
that particular piece of hardware. (like Bitflipper, the "Free" part always gets me interested.
