I didn't want to derail the other thread with this.

This band kept getting my attention...people talking, Blackmore doing one of theirs on his new one..
weird how that happens but I thought about getting a few CDs and couldn't find this one. It was one
of my favorite albums back when it was released- ...Very 'Eavy ...Very 'Umble
My old album is the US release and apparently very hard to find and worth some money if you have one.
Being a gatefold I thought I'd show the inside for those that have never seen it. (yes, the album is in it and in
very good condition)

So if ya run into one...may want to grab it.

Guess I'll get an album frame and hang it since I found out it's rare now. I guess at my age I could frame
and hang just about everything I own.

Somehow, I missed that one.  I have a few of the ones that followed on LP:  Look At Yourself, and Demons & Wizards.  I also have a Ken Hensley solo--Proud Words On A Dusty Shelf.  All are on vinyl.  I might have to go back and give them a listen.

Well, Jan, I have no idea exactly how many albums they made (I have a bunch), but that one was their very first back in 1970 (there's a remaster of it from 2006).

It was their first Jan. It wasn't great. Still to get their style.
The English releases cover is of that face seen- drum and backdrop.

Demons and Wizards was my favorite Heep album. I feel like they really found their sound with that album. Just my 'umble opinion. :)

That was the last album (Demons and Wizards) I really listened to. Got the 20th Century Masters-Greatest Hits CD not long ago...good to hear them again.
"top" although I didn't mention - I was thinking "collectors value".

Lists based on sales or whatever others think of the music isn't of much interest to me. Not what I use for a gauge
when I start to open my wallet.

I have it, too. Got it at the PX in Frankfurt '71 or '72. A few scratches and pops, but still sounds good.
It's amazing that it plays at all considering how much I played it.

Well I'm hearing it will bring hundreds of dollars.
FWTW.
I haven't sold mine so...it's kind of like those that say "this guitar is worth to collectors"...BS...sell it and then say what it sold for LOL.

This was a great period for rock music. I also still have this Uriah Heep LP. This was 'heavy' music. Pre-metal. Maybe the start of metal. My wife has asked me for years to get rid of the LP collection. Glad I didn't, especially with the LP interest resurgence.

Here's another around the same time period that really sparked my interest at the time:
