Seriously this new Toshiba S-70-A has got to be the worst sounding thing that makes sound that I have ever heard make sound.

My two previous Toshibas surprised me with their ok sound. This new one has surprised me in a whole new way.

I just disabled the make it better sounding bloat-app and it didn't get much better.

I'm ready to trade it in for a clock radio.

How can any laptop sound good without using decent (versus indecent) external speakers?

Yes, there is no comparison to real monitors, but what I hope for is to be able to turn the controls up to full and not hear it split the speakers into shredded lettuce.

My previous laptops were engineered to work without damaging them selves... this one is not.

It sounds like there is still some sort of "enhancement" going on that takes a normal sound file and makes it louder.

I got rid of the DTS bass boost and space-alizer app but it still sounds like it's got some sort of maximizer running.

Gee Mike, maybe you shouldn't buy a lappy made from vegetables?  Or, maybe more hardened variety like squash?  But then the sound might sound too squashed!  Maybe turnips so you could turn it up louder?

My HP sounds like a 1960 trasistor radio through it's speakers. Relatively good.... hwever sompared to something that really is good... meh. It sounds OK through phones though. I think it is some reltek stuff. Of course it sounds much better through the OC and monitors or phones. It sounds OK just through some old Roland powered monitors I use on the porch to stream Spotify on... of course it could be the beer. (or the becan). I have been pleased with this HP laptop and surprised at hpw well it runs and sounds. It has been much better than any DELL I have ever had. DELL seemed to really go downhill a few years ago. They made some laptops with the video card and other stuff integrated into the motherboard and I have two around here that became boat anchors because the video card went Tango Uniform.

Collards have come in and they have seemed indescribably delicious... especially when you add a dab of white balsamic vinegar just before stabbing them with a fork.

That would make the collards holler which in turn might make the beans sprout and then the bell peppers would start ringing not to mention tomatoes peeling out as well as the spinach giving everything else their own spin.

Maybe you need a couple of monitors in mint condition?

Double mint too!

Apparently there are rumors that I used to sing the Double Mint song in my crib (and I don't mean "crib" in the low-IQ Hip Hop manner either).
