Still kinda wondering what a skin is? $100... $500?

I found two other layers of DSP enhancement that I disabled for startup.

It's sounding better now but it seems like it simply has a bigger amp Ichip on board than the speakers have any hope of handling.

Here's your answer Mike and my reason.
Good luck with it.

I guess a skin is $100.

I guess I got the same speakers as the $400 version even though every other spec on mine is different. The base price on mine was $900 plus the upgrade stuff I checked off.

That actually describes the primary aspect of my disappointment, they didn't really seem to make a like to like replacement to my previous unit... they just jazzed up a low grade generic unit to make it seem comparable.

The other thing is that if you click on the Buy Now for $389... you go to page full of Lenevo. :-O

My previous unit had a 18.5" screen and *massive* 1-1/2" diameter speakers. :-)

I sure miss the old one... already. :-)

The funny thing is... I didn't know I got a card reader til I read that review. :-)

Thanks.

best regards,
mike

Get some inexpensive powered speakers (forget headphones).

Inexpensive powered speakers???

They'll be stuff laying around everywhere... I might as well have bought an iPad.

:-)

Maybe this Mike. Versatility too is a good thing.

That thing would be awesome with my new Volca synths.

I've been stuck playing them through one of my home made tube amps.
