It is just a joke. A funny play on words, not an attack on Christian beliefs <edited for content>

Nothing about that joke was a dig on catholics.  One could have easily replaced the characters with protestant terms and it would have worked.  The joke could have even used a school teacher and a principal or endless other variations of organizations with hierarchical structure. The joke contained nothing about actual beliefs or traditions.

I may not be "proper" but in the US a jackass is a male ass or donkey and a female is usually referred to as a jenny.
"jackass" takes the question of  what genre is that ass out of it...."jenny"....talking about Jennys' ass could ones proper ass kicked....or is that arse?

My wife is called Jenny and I find you talking about her backside offensive, not just for myself, but also on behalf of the Amish people, of which I am not one, but I hear they like donkeys and you shouldn't mention them in a thread about backsides. ;)

!!...I've been trying to think of someone I know called Jenny...to my defense I can't think of one!
Life was so much easier out in the fields of New Mexico just riding the animals around...really the
only time I cared which end was up...err...facing forward.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the whole concept of being "offended" is a load of crap. People claim they're "offended" for one reason only - so they can elevate themselves into a position of moral superiority and chastise someone else, which they thoroughly enjoy.

Sorry, I got it wrong. There's another reason why people get offended, and that's to cast themselves as a victim to enjoy all of the political currency it brings.

As I may have mentioned elsewhere, there's becoming an increasingly blurred line between "offending" and "blasphemy".

It won't be long before we're all told what to think...

Exactly.

If I happen end up in the sin bin for a bit now, thanks for the support of all those who can see it for what it actually is.
