Anyone know where to find a legit, non cracked copy of this classic plugin?

Didn't they stop development of this years ago? I used to have some timeworks stuff somewhere (I think it came with a very early version of Sonar) but I deleted all that stuff ages ago as it was only 32 bit and was very old in the tooth. I don't even remember the delay.
Are not some of the newer delays better anyway??
Cheers

This was just one of my favorites back in the day. :)

Sonic Timeworks went through a period of inactivity for a few years, then, in 2011, if I remember correctly, they announced that they were back in the game and intended to start developing new products.

Then nothing happened.

Michael Olsen, one of the co-founders, was also responsible for coding the first version of DNR Collaborative's MixControl (of which I was a very vocal fan) and which was supposed to be updated in late 2012, then in 2013... Personally, I've given up on that one, and I don't think Olsen was even involved into the vapourware version 2, so he's not to blame for that.

Some projects Olsen worked on: http://www.phonoxone.com/index.html

It's a shame really because I remember how I loved practically all their plug-ins I've worked with or tried on the PC. The delay was indeed cool and I absolutely loved the phaser - not to mention their EQs, comps, and reverbs...

Ahh, I remember the phaser well. Awesome. I remember the reverbs and compressors too. It really is a shame. They had great sounding plugs.

About the delay... Funny how time alters memory...

Dusted off my ancient DX delay and ran it thru the ropes years later. Not the same somehow.

Was about $70 I think and a top end echo unit compared to what was available without spending much more. Back then in prehistoric times, delay plugs were mostly mono and without tonal control over the delay. Timeworks came out with an affordable stereo delay with independent right and left channels. Had an overly severe hi shelf cuttoff per channel to dull out the echo.

Sweet memories, but no pan per channel, no eq control other than the all or nothing tone knob. No modulation of the echo. Big event of the time, but have to go with Nigel on this one. If you can't find it, you're not missing anything that can't be gotten better for free.

Did an audition with the PSP macho delay as only one reference and there is no comparrison. Makes the dx plugin sound lifeless and one dimensional. Not that the Timeworks dx plug is bad, just that one can get better results freeware via vst than spending $70 like we did back then.

Better to go freeware or spend the $70 on Sigmund.

Funny you mention Sigmund - I got that about a month ago and wow is it good! Just love what you can do with it and it's so easy for such a powerful plug in

Just wanted to revisit this, about a better freeware replacement for the 6022.

Lisc-delay gets all the functions of Timeworks with the addition of a third center delay, and variable tonal controls over the echo.

Lisc-verb is also nice from their website, as well as a couple synths. Vst format so better automation is available over the older dx plug.

Hmm...

Just went back over Lisc-verb and not as great as I remembered. Has what sounds like just one mode, although can mix with its truncated delay to spread things out..

Playing with the cuttoffs, there are some good dark sounds. Full spectrum reverb is too granular. Will never replace my Valhallas, but worth the download for another variety. Can't argue with the price.
