I’m not a “sinner” Paul.

And I certainly wasn’t born a sinner, or born “into sin”. What kind of depraved individual willingly and enthusiastically accepts, and perpetuates, that nauseating premise?

As a matter of fact, “sin” and “sinner” are two words I normally avoid using because of their rather insidious religious connotations.

I may have done a few things I’m not proud of, but over the course of my life I’ve had to take responsibility for them. The very idea that my “soul” (whatever that is) may have been redeemed two thousand years ago through some repugnant and macabre act of torture and human(?) sacrifice actually sickens me to my very core.

Now this is the sort of stuff I believe in (if only every person on earth memorised this, what a wonderful world it would be):

1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.
2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.
3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever:
4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
5 Nevertheless the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lord thy God loved thee.
6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.
7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
8 The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the Lord in their third generation.
9 When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.
10 If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
11 But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.
12 Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:
13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:
14 For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
15 Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:
16 He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.
17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

I stayed at a campsite like that once. Great Yarmouth I think it was.

With all that coming and going and washing with water and paddling there was prolly no time for recording?

I set 'em adrift on the Atlantic in a coracle fashioned from Faberge Eggs, crewed by tiny scuttling shadowy creatures. Should be with you during the time they arrive, and no later.

What Steve says. Times a million.

I refuse to be accused of being a sinner and the TOS guarantees that I shouldn't be, no matter what anyone's beliefs or understanding of their scared book tells them.

So before anyone goes on accusing and condemning every human who's ever lived because they didn't obey their God's rules, why not set an example an obey the relatively simple rules of this forum?  On these boards, the only "sin" is to break that agreement.

No religion means no religions - there is no small prints that says that yours is right or this guys is even more right.

Good for you Rain, your not a sinner. Steve is not a sinner either that's great too. Congratulations to you guys.

But I am. I know that I am. So I am calling myself a sinner. As far as a religion. I don't consider Christianity a religion. With religion it means you have to do things for salvation. With Christianity its all ready done. I don't have to do anything I am saved.

Who gets to call out who when it comes to topics like this? Well I guess it works both ways? No? You can call out me but I don't get to call out you. I see.

Well ... TOS away .... If you must ... I was just showing some people a video blog ... Up to them if they want to see it or not ... Really it's just a title ... Most of it will probably be boring things about my day ... Sort of like a diary.

No one would call out anyone if no one started spreading the gospel in the first place. I would be breaking the TOS if I argued that your religion was right or wrong. As for the rest, there is no grey zone for us to interpret - no religion. That gives anyone the right to call you or me out if we bring it out.
