Do you have some Ozzy era stuff in there too, like maybe Sabra Cadabra or maybe Fairies Wear Boots for a warm up? Or is it mostly later Sabbath?

I guess it could work - but I seem to switch to a different state of mind when I listen to Ozzy era Sabbath. That stuff is linked to some much less healthy memories. ;) For whatever reason, I cannot make that co-exist w/ my training attitude.
 
But then again, I listen to those Ozzy-era albums a lot more often than stuff from other eras, just for fun or while cooking or cleaning up the house and doing chores. 
 
Truth be known, I have the entire Sabbath collection on my iPhone and that's the only thing that's there pretty much permanently. Other stuff comes and goes, but Sabbath (and a couple of Ozzy solo albums) stays.

Yeah I get what you mean about the unhealthy part. :) Been there.

Actually, everything is on schedule. I was even expecting that it wouldn't be delivered this week when I decided to place the order.

Yeah, they always do that. But you know, it may not be all that bad that I try and learn to be a bit more patient. :)
 
 

My new interface must have left Sweetwater on the same truck. It should be here tomorrow or the next day.
About the same time as you are ripping through that first riff, I'll be able to record my first track since August 22(the day my DAW PC blew up). It looks to be a good day for the both of us.

Reminds me that I have to send back my Focusrite tomorrow due to defective preamps! Since we only have one day each week to run errands, I'd hate to forget this week again...

It's an Akai EIE Pro. It's gotten mixed reviews, so I hope it's a good call. But it has a built-in USB hub, which is great for me. I'm running on a laptop that only has 2 USB ports. I'll be able to connect all three controllers(keyboard, e-drums, and percussion pad) plus guitars and mics. Phantom power can be turned on for just two of the four inputs, so I can mix condenser and ribbon mics. I couldn't do that before.
I'm looking forward to it.
I've been playing along with Sonar via my mixer. Because of a Vista/laptop quirk, I can't use the existing audio input. It's been a little frustrating, but just workable enough to get by for a while.
Anyhow, Nathan called yesterday and said it had shipped, so I'm just waiting on the Fedex truck.
