Absolutely!!! I went to the GA Dome to watch the Falcons get whipped all over the field by the Seahawks and the halftime show was a tribute to our soldiers. I felt a little funny being a grown man wiping tears from my eyes. They had a bunch of reserve or Nat. Guard on the field unfloding a huge flag, a singer, and they put video on the big screens... when they showed WW II GIs in LSTs headed for beaches... I lost it.
I am so thankful for our armed services. SALUTE!!! Thank you for doing the dirty business of WAR so that we all are not exposed to the ugliness of it.
I have to admit that I am a bit more emotional about it because of being in the middle of reading The Liberation Trilogy by Rick Atkinson. I think I probably mentioned it somewhere else but I write and delete a lot of stuff, anyway I highly recommend these three books, they are great and tell both the good and the bad. Lots of misery endured by mere men doing the bidding of governments. My dad is 95 and was in the 11th Airborne.

Again... thank you veterans.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Hi,

I'm scared to post in these areas and say anything.

I was born in a fascist state with a dictator, and am glad that our family found America had the chance to come over here and appreciate the life that is not anywhere else in the world. In Brazil, in the first place we lived, it was a shack, for all intents and purposes.  So having a decent place since, has been a blessing in many ways, and I want to thank the American folks for it.

Thanks to you all as well
