It's a really odd problem. I can get no output from the Hi-Hats. All the other drums are working fine and going to their assigned outputs, but not the hats. I also notice that in the AD mixer there is no hat output to the master buss while all the other drums do.
 
I checked all the settings and compared them to the others and I tried to load a different sample. Nothing happening in terms of output. The meters in the AD mixer say the sample is triggering, but not going anywhere.

That sounds very strange - I've been using Addictive Drums basically since it first came out and I've never experienced something like that - it sounds as if there is no sample loaded but how that could happen I have no idea - have you tried contacting their support people - I've always found them pretty good

I didn't realize that we could access their tech support. Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a go.

The hi-hats go through your overheads so make sure you are sending your overheads to a separate track and that it is not muted (and that your overhead level in the AD mixer is not too low).

The hi hat has it's own channel as well as going to the bus.
 
When you hit the hi hat picture, do you see the meter move?

It the output for the HiHat turned on in the Addictive Drum plug-in GUI?

Yes, I have the output enabled and everything but the hats is working. I've contacted their tech support via email. Waiting a few days with no response, much like an email to Cakewalk.

How about the correct drum map? I noticed on some GM files the kick drum doesn't work until I set the drum map for GM.

The reason I ask is you didn't mention is it happening when you play the beats in AD or are you triggering from a midi drum track?
 

I understand the hi-hat track meters are moving but your not hearing the hats?
