Version 1.4.06 for PhoenixVerb and R2

Exponential Audio is happy to announce the immediate availability of Version 1.4.06 of its PhoenixVerb and R2 plugins.  It is available at no charge to all licensed users (including demo licenses).

This update addresses these main issues:
  • Startup noises at 88.2K and above
  • The non-appearing GUI in some hosts like VePro and Wavelab
  • A solution to crashes in StudioOne (Mac). 
  • General stability
  • Small performance improvements

Sharp percussive sounds are my acid test for reverbs: triangles, tambourines, claves, stuff like that. 


Same here.  It pushes it hard and lets you hear the tails clearly.  Any BFD users think that the included Breverb is really bad on drums/percussion?  I like it on other things but it sounds harsh and unnatural on percussion to my ears.  I d like to give Phoenix Verb a try.
