Got Passion Flute loaded. Seems I'll have a lot to learns about "playing" this library.

I have a MIDI of Tull's Bouree that I used to apply the PF to. Well, I'll say although some parts sounded good, some did not.

TBH out the gate the MIDI applied to TTS-1 actually sounded better overall.

Disclaimer: I did not play the MIDI flute parts, I simply found the free MIDI online.

I'm downloading the Rick stuff now. Halfway there. One more hour to go.

I'll be ordering mine tonight and I'd imagine a lot more peeps will be doing the same this weekend.

Baps, are you entering the song contest.........(with a Passion flute solo)?

Nope. As a rule, I do not enter contests. And today is not the day to learn a new library .

...I'll trade my library for your bass.

I miss my 1973 Fireglow...

Although that deal does seem just 'to good to be true', I will unfortunately have to pass on it, Baps!

I need to have a large axe around to club any uninvited intruders over the head with, you understand.

Otherwise I'd be a fool not to jump at that deal!

When did you part with your 1973?

When did you part with your 1973?

In ~1977 when I traded it and $700 for my 1976 Alembic Series I (which sold for $2K in 1977). I still have that darling though.

The last two real basses I long to add to my existing paltry collection is a Rick (prefer Fireglow) and a cherry Gibson EB3 (I traded in my EB3 for the Ric in 1974). For now I get "close" to those sounds with my Line 6 Variax Bass and it was a Christmas gift so that is a lot cheaper than trying to acquire vintage version of those two basses.

I couldn't think of too many more impressive opinions than this one:

At first glance when I saw this, I thought he was rolling a joint! Hahaha!

I didn't see the pencil or sheet music at first.

So you've been without your Ricky longer than I've owned mine! Almost twice as long.
No wonder you're jonesin' for another!

But at least now you'll have that terrific unique sound, as I see you're d'ling it as we speak.

Suppose I should go for it, but then I'm concerned that I may not play for real as much, with such a beautiful classic sound & instrument right here & always ready to go.

I've already done that to myself with the Acoustic Guitar samples I have.

The Group Buy is now at 299 participants and Greg Schlaepfer, the Principal of Orange Tree Samples, is about to make an announcement that I'm certain will make everyone in the Group Buy very, very happy. In fact, I'd call it the cherry on top.
