Poor Greg... I can not connect to the web site, not even the root of the web site, right now.

So dumb question time, but is there a time limit on when we can make our GB purchases? I signed up for the Jaco Bass, but had to push off the purchase till the end of the GB (today?) due to other obligations (my wife is a good sport, but I'm not sure she'd appreciate a bass library for her birthday<G>!)

Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind - just received the email with the news that the GB has been extended till 10/16. Thanks for that Greg, makes me less likely to get in trouble!!!

Do to a serious spike in activity following the announcement that Orange Tree Samples is immediately releasing its new SLIDE Acoustic Guitar library as part of the Group Buy, at $44.50, a 50% discount, our server slowed considerably. This did not affect the Amazon servers where samples are maintained and all our servers are now functioning normally. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

I don't know - it was a little frustrating from this end, but I'd say this is terrific news. When you can slow down your servers you have to be doing something right!

Congrats Greg!

Congratulations and Thank You Greg. Also, Thanks to edrummist for joining in and making things interesting!

Thanks! I almost missed that post!

I love the fun of Group Buys and there's no developer I'm a bigger fan of than Orange Tree Samples.

Funny, I while back, I was sharing with Greg all the guitar and bass libraries I own and how he's either rendered them useless by creating superior and more playable libraries or relegated them to only being supplemental players to his libraries and he tells me, "You're a sample hoarder!" and sends me the below video -- mostly for a laugh, but I think he was partially serious (and somewhat correct)! In my case, just consider some of the drum libraries I own -- and this list was just made offhand, I'm certain I'm forgetting a bunch of libraries: Superior Drummer and extensions, ezDrummer and extensions, Addictive Drums and extensions, BFD Eco (it's just a matter of time before I pick up BFD 3) Steven Slate Drums, Ocean Way Drums, Infinite Drums, Drum Masters, Neil Peart Drums, Abbey Road 60s Drums, Studio Drummer, Waves Factory Tea Towel kit and numerous individual kits for KONTAKT.

Anyhow, here's the video on "data hoarding." I find it hilarious:

I have BFD2 (not BFD3... not interested) in addition to all of the above.....

So I can try to oneupmanship your list (but maybe not you) with Jamstix 3 and all ad packs, Voxengo AcuDrums, Bluenoise Plugins Drum Mix (Both Metal & Rock), East West Fab Four and Ministry of Rock (which includes drums), Studio Cat's Purrrfect Drums, Drumagog (with Invictus Meat packs 1-5 and Drive Drums/Parallel Drums by MoReVox)

You should watch that video too, Bapu! Besides it being hilarious, I think it might be about us. We're data hoarders. Or at least sample hoarders! And not that I want to encourage even more sample hoarding, but Greg told me that he just got BFD3 and loves it, so I'm on watch for an upgrade deal for BFD Eco... I'm in too deep!

684!!  daaaamn!  Impressive.

edrummist - AudioDeluxe.com had BDF Eco on sale as the deal of the week for like 2 months.  I think it was $29.00.  Of course now that you want it, it's $99 LOL.

I know I betrayed my loyalty to Addictive Drums, but the drums in the Nobody's Fault But Mine demo for SLIDE Acoustic are BFD 3. They have a nice assortment of kit pieces in the factory sounds, and the room mics and additional mic positions give you a ton of flexibility.

Yup, data hoarder. I have far too many sample libraries I've bought over the years, sitting on external hard drives with the "you never know when they'll come in handy" mentality. :P
