Hey Bapu and Bill, thanks for sharing! I'm always curious and really enjoy learning about others in forums. I mean, we clearly share the same deep interest in music making, so it's fascinating to me to learn more about my fellow forum members. Funny,now that I know Bapu plays bass, Bill plays guitar and I play drums -- I say we form a band! GregJazz is a superb keyboardist (bass player too, but we already have that filled). Now we just need a vocalist!!!

Do you not know about The Coffee House Band? Over the years it has been made up of members from the Coffee House sub forum. Currently it's made up of SteveStrummerUK, Alexooesthoek, Quantumeffect, Philz and I. We've produced 8 songs. My son has filled lead guitarist duties on the last two (he's a SONAR user but does not engage in forum activities).

Oh did I mention that Daryl1968 and I are The Forum Monkeys with occasional guests some serious covers and some Weird Al type covers too..
 
I almost forgot to mention Straumpu & The CHC (aka Coffee House Choir) the goofy offshoot of the CHB that does mock covers with the exception of the one original we've done so far.
 
I've enjoyed playing on others' projects as well. (Daryl1968, Rimshot, Philz, Janet, Beagle, Mooch4056 and Guitarpima).

At the moment, I only have a really old machine with an older version of Sonar (I had a newer system but the main hard drive died and the motherboard is in bad shape). I'm planning to get a new DAW machine before Christmas and want to upgrade to the latest version of Sonar -- although the news on the company being purchased is giving me pause and I'm wondering if I should pause before updating or consider a new DAW. I hate the prospect of Sonar going away. I realize no one here has the answers.
