I am looking for 1 to go for eq  mostly for track EQ, but also some master bus usage too.
I was suggested DMG Audio eq's:  EQuilibrium and EQuality !
any review from the users here and what are you thinking of the quality and workflow of those ?

Excellent choice.

There's also Fab Filter's Pro-Q :

I have both but prefer Equilibrium as it offers more flexibility & a better layout for my workflow.

Try the demos & see what you prefer. Both great products.

I had the Fabfilter pro Q, but sold it after a week,in my opinion not an eq of my taste.
Gonna demo the Equilibrium, and be familiar with it.

I have a " bad " vocal track, and that is exellent to test EQ's on.
If i can get decent sound of that, then that EQ will be good at any task, i think.

Dude Ivey
Equilibrium was the only eq I used for mixing and mastering. I love it but since getting X-3 Pro its the only Plugin that will not work right. Well it doesn't work right in X-2 projects opened up in X-3. I cant figure it out. But again, that been my favorite EQ plug for a while now!

If your trying to save money the Eqs from DDMF may work. http://www.ddmf.eu/ The multi track control looks like a nice feature. They also have a Linear phase EQ.http://www.ddmf.eu/
I've tried them all and prefer Pro-Q. If the the new quad curve had mid/side, it could do the job.

Geeee, the plugins from DDMF, is no good, graphically bug'd and not good programmed.
only the 6144 EQ was decent.
I had the whole bundle , but tossed it into the trash bin, all plugins... no more DDMF plugs for me.

I must admit Fabfilter Pro Q had the best GUI, but sound vice not that good, just to digital IMO.

I must have been tossed plugins that i buyed for like  $ 450 / $ 500, in all together !!
by " small " companies like that ( DDMF / Toneboosters / IK Multimedia ( the Classic studio reverb ) / and some more i cannot remember atm. )

But thanks for the info anyway, now i really need a great EQ, even if it cost up to $ 250.

I can not afford any more " cheap " plugins now, just to find out later, that they where not " good "
That's why i really need help for an great EQ.

I have tested the DMG Audio, EQuilibrium a bit, and it sounds pretty good, but..

i think it is a little bit " picky " to use, if that's the right word for it
maybe i just need to learn the workflow with it...

I considered waves EQ's, i have demo'd a few, but some seems " difficult " to register sometimes

and they where pretty CPU hungry, so i am not quite up for waves plugs then..

I need more suggestions on EQ, in the same / similar GUI as Fabfilter Pro Q and the EQuilibrium.

Yes i'm hard to satisfy !, but there must be an EQ for me too, the EQuilibrium is quite close to what i want.

I wish you would throw a few of them to me! Hahaha. I would like to have IK's CSR. Toneboosters Eq has mid/side too. I like T-racks deluxe, but I use quad curve and Pro-Q. DDMF have good reviews, but I've never owned them...just trying to help. DMG may be the one.

Have you demoed the McQ Jan? Just wondering. It has a sweet top end IMO.
