Have you demoed the McQ Jan? Just wondering. It has a sweet top end IMO.

I will see if i can demo it soon, but it's not quite the right EQ to pin down frequencies
more as a coloring EQ it seems to me.

Why were you needing a free FET comp, but willing to pay anything for an EQ? Just wondering. I find most digital EQs pretty close sound wise. Of course those that color the sound or emulate a console are different. For the money your talking you could upgrade to X3 and have a lot of options. The PC76 for one. The quad curve EQ for another.

Just demoed the PSP McQ, and compared it to my Sonimus Pro Q and the EQuilibrium Demo
in two bands, around 710 hz ( -2db )  and 5k area ( + 2db ) at fairly " small " Q.

here is my quick verdict in following order:

1. McQ
2. SonEQ Pro
3. EQuilibrium

McQ           : had nice original character of the sound, but need a bit more boost or cut than the SonEQ pro.
SonEQ pro  : had good character of the sound, but sounded " minor" less defined in the sound, and need less boost or cut than McQ.
EQuilibrium : Decent, but had the less character and definition of those 2 other EQ's

this is my opinion, but other's may have a different order than me on the EQ's, depending on taste.

If Fabfilter Pro Q had been evaluated, it mostly had ended up at 4 th place, about how i know it sound.

I am actually considering buying the McQ, it would do well on a BUS, also for quick EQ in a track, when you don't need to pin down frequencies.
Also may have to evaluate some of the other EQ's from PSP too.

If i upgraded to X3 then, with the EQ's there and compressors etc.
It's not sure i would be happy with the EQ's there, then i would had to buy additional EQ's anyway
Costing me even more.

That is why i need X3 as demo, to chk it out first.

About the free Compressors i gave that up, just keep't the Klanghelm as it was 64bit version.
I have deleted all my 32 bit plugs. will only use 64 bit's from now.

Geeee, it's so hard to find an EQ of my taste  ,this is driving me nutts...

Ill think i will go for this solution for now :

Buy the PSP McQ, and use that alongside with the Sonitius EQ
then await and demo of X3, and not be to hasty to get a new
main go to EQ, for now.

And continiue using X1d, and try to do some tracking and mixing
for people and earn some cash, then upgrade to some real stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Glad you liked the McQ Jan, I'm kinda partial to it myself, especially considering the price. I've demoed some of the other PSP eq's and liked them all, but the McQ just stood out to me.

I buyed McQ, and downloaded it , also with a registration file ( .reg )
when i double click it, and  add it to the registry it runs
but when i open the plugin, its not activated !

it say in the plugin : Demo period expires in 14 days, klick to run.

Do i need to copy and run the registration file from a special folder ?

I copied it to the installation folder in program files, and run it from there and restarted : nothing...
i copied the registration file in the vst folder of PSP Audioware and ran it from there : still nothing...

Eeeeek , HELP !

Did you try rescanning the VST's in Sonar? It's been a few months since I've activated any PSP stuff, so I can't really remember.

I won't be able to get on my computer until tonight. I'll uninstall and reinstall on of my PSP plugins and reactivate it so I can pass along the process to you. It sounds like you probably did it right though, so I'm kinda puzzled.

I contacted PSP support, and they said it was a problem: with local character in your name
They told me to re download it again, but it did not work.

Hopefully they will fix it.

EDIT: they fixed the licence file now it works, me Happy ;-)
