My housemate got an eye phone four awhile back and something got changed on it accidentally.
Visited the Apple web site and found the manual and got her phone reset.
I wanted to download the pdf of her manual so I don't have to go to that web site every time she needs to know something, but it doesn't work.
I know on my old XP computer that I could download pdfs, the 'downloading' icon would appear and it ended up in the folder I chose.
So, how in the harkonen do I download and save a pdf on a W 7 64-bit computer?

There's a save button in acrobat viewer. If it's not showing, right click on the toolbar go to file and check Save.

Save DOH!!!

BTW, I have seen some web linked PDF files that disable all saving.

Right. Clicked Save and selected a folder to put it in. Nothing appears to happen.
Try again, the Save To box shows the document already in the right place, but when I open the documents folder, it's not there.
Try to save it again (insanity?) and it tells me the file is already there, overwrite? Click yes, and it's still not in the documents folder.

What browser are you using?  I believe FireFox saves to a "Downloads" directory (and IE can do that too sometimes).

(I wouldn't rule out the insanity theory just yet though...  )

IE 9. Or 8.

Reece, otherwise known as a landlady. I rent a room from her.

He didn't say how he has to pay his rent yet...
