Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but more often than not my VS-100 will not show the display on power-up ... the backlight works, but no VS-100 version 1.5 boot messsage and no display...   It sometimes takes several power ups for it to display anything..
 
I have contacted Roland UK as the unit is in warranty (just) but just curious as to if anyone else has seen those symptoms ??

never had this problem as i'm new to the thing.  but if it is under warranty, i wouldn't mess around.  take it in and get a fresh one with zero miles.  aside from the agony of all the stupid drivers and updates, why not?

speaking of which, you do have the latest version of everything, right?  i had to freshen up three to five different things to get mine off the ground, and it still isn't 100%.  

That's not normal.

Doubt I will get a new one... probably just a warranty repair... Guess I'll have to wait until Roland get back to me and will see what they say...
