In 1991, I bought a MIM Telecaster.
Over the years, I replaced the tuning keys, nut, strap locks, pickguard, pickups, control plate, electronics, bridge, and strings.  As far as I know, none of those components are Mexican.
 
Is it still a MIM Telecaster?
