Bajan Blue
I wonder sometimes just how "different" or "better" all these very similar products can be - I mean if you have a decent eq in your arsenal, how could this improve over what you already have?
Also I wonder whether ease of use / easy to understand and learn / or products you use a lot and have become proficient with, work "better" than others --- because you know how to use them properly!
I use a little free EQ called Luftikus, which I have learnt pretty thoroughly over the years and know when and how to use it - it is a little different to a standard eq but can lift tracks in a mix beautifully if used sparingly.
There is a to buy equivalent I believe call Maag EQ from Plug in Alliance  - this is $229
Now I have to admit I have not tried the Maag and that testing one against the other would be interesting, but I really wonder how the Maag could be that much better than my little freebie????

I find myself in a constant " hunting " for EQ and Compressor, to satisfy my taste
But it seems rather impossible, there's so many Plugins of EQ's and Compressors
" out there " i myself is pretty tired of looking around, but just cant stop it ... !!

Yes an EQ and a compressor or ( any plugin ) is a matter of taste and
how we like the the GUI and sound.

For me i like a EQ to be colorful in a subtle way, with a nice simple GUI
It need to be open and true, also keep the harmonic's and vibe of the orginal sound
soft sounding with nice mid / treble, also a soft sounding low end.
some EQ can sound decent but have a bad GUI and of course the oposite !
seems hard to get it all together in one EQ ?
Another problem is, using one EQ there and that EQ there and so forth
that will cause the user having ton's of Plugins ( EQ's ) and he / she will
have a problem to really get to know the plugin  !!

Demo now available:  http://sonimus.com/products/soneqpro/
You need to create a Sonimus account if you don't already have one.

First impressions here are VERY positive -- this plugin is excellent for tone-shaping while keeping a natural sound.

Cheers,
Eddie
