Haven't seen the Vikings, but I can understand the sentiment! I had a friend talk me into buying the first season of 24 and we ended up watching the first 15 hours (actually a lot less when you remove the commercials), then we passed out for a few hours of sleep only to finish the final 9 hours the next morning.
Unfortunately for the rest of my life and trying to keep anything that approaches a "normal" schedule, I can do things like this in many other areas as well. It's not rare for me to start a good book and not be able to put it down until I'm done, play a video game for 18 hours straight, start a large jig-saw puzzle and not stop until it's done many hours later. Heck, the only reason I've survived this long is because this applies to work-related things too!
