A positive mental attitude is so important, without it life can be depressing and that's when nothing is really going wrong...without it a tragedy can be completely overwhelming to deal with.

Mike - this is a serious question and doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the story above in the link you provided (in fact at this time I have not yet watched it).
 
in your profession is there ever a time where you were supposed to provide technical services for a story or event which doesn't coincide with your values or beliefs?  If so, how did you handle it?
