Not sure what I can and can't say on the release date and in truth none of us beta testers are in the know as to any fixed date.
I think (hope) it's ok for me to say that their target release is weeks rather than months away

I wish I could say that I will upgrade, but in all honesty I've not the time, nor the dosh, to tinker with drums like I should.

So I tend to fall back to Toontrack and Steven Slate (as I duck from Danny Danzi throwing old computer parts at me) more often than not. Occasionally I'll use some of the Abbey Road stuff now that I have .nkm/templates all worked out for the sets I have.

I loves me the concept of Jamstix, which I own, but I've never gotten it to work well for me in 5 minutes or less.

My goto is Toontrack SD2 but I really like the Acoustic sounds of BFD2 and have imported a few of my own sounds. Looking forward to BFD3!

Thanks Twaddle. I'm looking forward to it. I love BFD2!

JMO, but that is uninspiring.

The Kit page does look different but it is kinda cool with the browser, mini mixer, and kit piece modifiers on the same page. Could speed up workflow. I just HOPE it is re-sizable!

I'm taking a wait-and-see approach but will probably upgrade anyway...

The new UI is almost as great a departure as was BFD1 to BFD2.
I have to say though I think the work flow is very much improved.
I didn't like the new UI much at first but it has grown on me. I was all for keeping the kit view but with hind sight I only ever really used it to access kit piece parameters that are now much more accessible with the new, "tech/Model" tabs you can see on the left. I do still think BFD2 is sexier and as frivolous as I know eye candy is, it does matter in terms of sales.

Not sure I'm allowed to say whether it's resizeable but if you look to the left of the, file/tool/help menus you'll see two arrows
pointing in opposite directions.
I'll let you do the math as to what they do

Steve, you are a Gentleman and a Scholar!

I meant that as a complement...

Kind regards,
Rick
