I'm a U-He fan, will check this out, even though I absolutely don't need it. But maybe I'll like this as much as I like their other stuff. Thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to the 9th!

I may check out Satin, but the price is a little steep for me as well. I have Reelbus and Kramer tape and Magnetic I and II. I used to use Magnetic all over the place and then one day I took it off and realized it made everything too over-compressed or something. I seemed to me to take away the nice transients I already had. Not sure if I'm explaining exactly right, but since then I've tried them a time or two and always (so far) ended up taking them off and using something else.

At least it's not another compressor LOL.

Actually in a way it is.

I think it is very fairly priced when compared to things like Slate Tape and Waves Tape emulations. Plus, the guy who designed it Sascha Eversmeier is considered one of the very top guys in the DSP field- chances are it will be top class.

Hey, Bapu! I, too, went down the Adat road with three Adats and the BRC! Now I wish I had a boat because I have lots of anchors! Right after I bought them Alesis was bought out! What great timing I have! I have to say I never looked back after going ITB.

Sidroe, remember how cut-n-paste was a kick in the arse on the ADATS.

Point to chorus 1 on machine A track 3 and drop in at chorus 2 on machine B (or C) on track N and then copy back to machine A on track 3 in chorus 2 position.

Good times.

Satin will be a hit, as it appeals to not one but two cults: the cult of u-He and the cult of saturators. And of course, it can also be viewed as a type of compressor, so there ya go: the compressor cult can get excited, too.

Disclosure: I am a fan of Zebra, and I think Urs Heckman is one of the coolest devs out there. But I haven't actually taken the blood ritual and joined the cult outright.

Oh, do it, man.  Their secret handshake is *way* cool.

I have a friend of mine that is a very reputable producer with a heck of a track record that ran Adats with a BRC. He would call me to engineer for him sometimes. He almost passed out when I showed him there were actually punch in/out location points on the BRC! All these years he said it was always easier to do it by hand! Now, what did I do with my razor blade and scotch tape? LMAO!
