I picked up the SampleTron and SampleMoog VIs in this group buy and I'm really happy with them.  But I'm wondering, if the group buy gets enough users for me to pick up another free VI, which one should I get?  I've already got Kontakt 5, which I love.  From the IK demos, I get the impression that the SampleTank, Miroslav, and Sonik Synth sounds are not nearly as good as the ones I already have in Kontakt. So I'm left wondering, which of those 3 IK VIs I would actually get the most out of.  Any suggestions?

Its getting really close to another freebie and like CClary mentioned I would go with Miroslav Philharmonik or Sonik Synth 2. 64 bit will be out by the end of the year.

So I spent some time tonight doing an A-B comparison of the Miroslav demo instruments against the Kontakt library, and the differences are not as big as I first thought.  I think Kontakt still has the edge, but the Miroslav sounds are pretty darn good as well.

I was all set to choose SampleTank as my next freebie instead of Miroslav or Sonik Synth, but now I'm not so sure anymore.  So I'm right back where I started.

Obi, if I were to buy a second VI for $69, would that qualify me for a second free VI (independent of the 500-user freebie).  In other words, buy two and get two free?  That way, I could get all five for the price of two (assuming we hit 500 users, which looks likely).

Yes, you can buy in more than once. We are now at 2 FREEBIES and on our way to 3 with enough help spreading the word.

Hey Obi:
1. Does that mean that 64 bit versions will be out for all 5 of these choices?
2. Will the upgrade to 64 bit cost anything or will it be included if we buy now?

Thank you,

Been very pleased with Sampletank and this sale. Originally only wanted MSO, but when they had SampleTank XL for $39.00 on the previous sale, it was a no brainer. Even jumped on the Gold Bundle Sale right after at esoundz for $99.00. Prices make it pretty hard to pass up. But I was more than ready to jump on MSO during this GBuy and picked up SonikSynth2 as the 1st free VI. And just got SampleMoog with this level being reached. These other VIs I had no thought of getting are really surprising me. I don't know if it's realistic to expect the next level being reached, but I hope so. It would mean I basically got the entire VI set for just under $120.00 and the Gold library for 99.00. That's a lot of sample and synth power for the money!

So yeah, if you're on the fence, go for it, (if only for my own purely selfish reason of getting SampleTron too).

The good thing about all these VI's is that they all use SampleTank's engine to run their sounds. So you can put all the sound libraries of each synth in one folder (under SampleTank), and have access to all the sounds in ST. This way, you can also only use 1 authorisation (ST) without going through the process for all these VI's.......although you still can get additional auths if you run out.

1. No. SampleTank 3 will be able to read legacy libraries. (Our current libraries for the next few months)
2. Yes/No. SampleTank 3 will release with an upgrade price for current customers. This is mainly for the massive new sound library we've been working on for YEARS. There will most likely be a free version, much like we have now.
