$84.15 @ JRR Shop...

$99 at IK....

My BIGGEST problem with IK....their Jampoints are USELESS....

You can only use them on RETAIL prices...which can ALWAYS be beat by the Retailers...
So, they mean NOTHING....unless you're an ADDICT who HAS TO USE THEM...and doesn't care
what you pay for something...

I would have foregone my boycott and purchased this if I could have used my Jampoints...but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

IK just get's on my nerves with their stupidity...

Rant over...end of story...bye bye...

I think I actually was able to use some Jampoints for something once a couple of years ago.

But I pretty much just ignore them and seem to be no worse for wear. This would strike me as something pretty low on my list of things to get upset about.

Just saying.

I sort of agree with Larry on this - basically if they make it so they are more or less useless, why bother with them at all? Poor marketing - people do get suspicious (even if you have good intentions) when you "give" them something as an encouragement to buy, then you find you cannot use them, ever!
Personally doesn't bother me and I do believe I might even have some dodgy jammy points somewhere or another, but it is rubbish marketing (perhaps irubbish??)

I sort of take it as a marketing thing that's run its course - they made some sense when most of the products were pricey, but once the price points got lower and they started having big discounts a few times a year it changed. And if they tried to just get rid of them while some customers still had a bunch in their accounts, that wouldn't go over well either.

But it's not like there aren't like a billion other companies out there that don't let you combine promotions, particularly when big discounts are involved.

The Only thing I have used Jam points for was to buy credits to use in the custom shop. Other than that... meh

I've used jam points for the Custom shop to pick up an effect or mic I want without having to buy the whole Amplitube 3 package. It's basically useless if you wait for a sale and buy everything they have. At some point you have a bunch of points with nothing left to purchase. I do like their products though. The sound quality of T-racks is as good as anything else I have in my tool box and $79 for 7 processors is a pretty fair deal.

T Racks Grand is worth the price of admission, IMHO.
I know we're all just a "little" frustrated with IK.
BUT, I do use the Black and White comps A LOT, the Pultec is useful as well (all the plugs really).
CSR crashes X2 EVERY time I try to load it, (as do ALL the synths, all are fine in X1; go figure!)
But its included in "Grand" so I'm good to go.
If/when we get ST3 IK will be back on the good guy's list, eh? (what is there like 122 days to New Years Obi?)
iGnore the iCrap and iBuzz, they're just trying to create a "little" iCash iFlow; can't blame them for that.
Pick up Grand you'll like; don't "love" the Custom Shop, but I "deal" with it.
Just my nickel98.

CSR comes with grand? I'll have to check that.

CSR is a separate purchase.
