Its a tough thing to keep in mind when we are an international company and taxes are different in each country. We abide by all rules in each country which is why we have to charge VAT. You will notice at the bottom of every one of our news releases and announcements it says:
"All prices exclude taxes/VAT."
Hi Obi,
I can certainly understand the necessity to charge vat and comply with taxation laws, that was not my point. I would just prefer to see this addition represented in the big price label by the product, as regardless of your 'All prices exclude taxes/VAT' notice at the bottom of the page, its initially misleading as its not the price you end up paying. Some people don't have the ability to add 21% onto a given price so they have to go through the checkout process to find out how much it will actually cost them.
I think this practice of price display is rather outdated now, you see it less and less. Imagine how confusing this method would be if the prices at the local supermarket didn't include tax.
This is just my opinion of course, I don't expect it to change anything.
Cheers
