The Maillard Reaction
I just reluctantly ordered a new laptop based on a i7-4700MQ.

I have accepted the idea that it must be destiny.

Now I have to go to work to pay it off. :-)

Good luck with the new laptop.

Why reluctant?  I'm just curious as I haven't heard anything--good or bad-- about the processor.

be honest mike.. you would have bought a 286 if it had the MQ on the end.............:)

The Maillard Reaction
:-)

Hi Jan,
The reluctance is based on the idea that I don't want a new laptop but l had the hinges of my current laptop break off their mounts yesterday. I got it back in service using some nuts and bolts.
The system still works great but the screen is going to fall off the next time the hinges break off.
I just wasn't in the mood to burn the budget or install a bunch of apps on a new system.

Best regards,
Mike

Reluctance is mostly just a slow yes for me. The fact that it has a MQ chip in it might have made the yes a little faster

You should wait for one with an iX3b chip in it.

bapu
I heard the iAm-4700Bapu chip has NagBap imbededed innit.

It can detect when you're working on a non bapu type project and closes that project and opens the bapu project you should be working on.
