Yes, you probably shouldn't contemplate on all the possiblities which may or may not make sense, especially in consideration of what has and has not been already said on upgrading to X3 being either good or bad.

You should upgrade if you want to.  You should not if you do not.  If you are unsure then you will start to decay where you stand.  Indecision is stagnation.  Make a decision.  Live with it.  If it was a wrong decision, make your next decision a right one.  Move ahead - get straight.  Enjoy life while you have it.  X3 works for me.  I love the new tools.

That is really profund and deep, thought personally if it was me which it was not I would have and you could have but chose not to have signed it with HTMH, HTPH or HTNH as indeed I am not sure that a HTH should or would have aptly described the contents therein without a qualifying adjective
