If you are in the UK and into Celtic Folk, Country or Bluegrass (or just like wathcing good players and singers) BBC4's "Transatlantic Sessions" is now being shown at 8:30 on BBC4, Friday evenings. In Scotland its also on at 10:30 on Sunday evenings on BBC2.

There's actually a few bars around here that feature that type of music including some that encourage musicians to show up and join in.  Not sure how much of it I can tolerate though... Heh.

One of my favourite shows. The musicianship is incredible, as is the sound. Last week's with Mary Chapin-Carpenter doing 'I Have a Need for Solitude' was particularly good. Jerry Douglas just gets better and better (and fatter..)

Aoife O'Donovan's voice impressed me. I love the way she was harmonising with Mary Chapin Carpenter.
