Carl/ Bit,

Though I am ancient enough to be around in days of tape and actually got to record on tape a couple of times in my early 20's, I have no idea what Tape Stop is???

I love Real Bus, however and it has really become a staple in my chain. Seams like I just upgraded....but very happy to down load again.

It's just the effect of stopping tape with the heads engaged.

Just tried the tape stop feature...fun! Not sure I'll ever actually use it, but fun.

I was more interested in the new quality modes, hoping the HQ mode might reduce aliasing. I'm not clear on whether "normal" is what's been newly-added, or if it's the "high quality" mode. Whichever it is, HQ does not appear to have any effect on aliasing. It's apparently not an oversampling option. "Normal" generates fewer upper-level harmonics, which accounts for its greater CPU efficiency. So if you're tempted to use "normal" for mixing and "HQ" for rendering, be aware that they won't sound the same.
