What program did you run? Something to kill duplicates? I even had problems booting my system when I changed from XP to Win7. Now it works flawless but rarely Sonar still looses the VS-100 driver. It is usually sufficient to reboot the system. Have you read the rather thorough instructions from Sony which comes with the driver? There is also a troubleshooting chapter. http://www.roland.com/support/article/?q=downloads&p=VS-100&id=62226715
I ran the program linked in oy5t3h's post, which deleted duplicates in my registry. Rebooting still doesn't do a thing, the driver doesn't seem to work and still can't be reinstalled.
I've been through the troubleshooting chapter, but there is absolutely nothing about the error message I'm getting. The first malfunction I had (the driver not working) has a section in which it is recommended to uninstall and reinstall and there's a section about not being able to install the driver. But that section led to zero results.
I've also used multiple search programs I know to see if I could find anything on the internet about the issue and I couldn't find anything or anyone with the same issue or something about getting rid of it.
