Hi, Jarvse. Happy New Year.
Honestly, based on our previous work together I think you might do REALLY well with Cubase. Apparently their MIDI notation system is top tier which I'd imagine would be really useful to your style of writing. It's a solid program too that most pro/semi-pro users/studios use or have around aside from the hard core Pro Tools guys.
If you haven't already I really do recommend you check it out specifically because of what I think it could do for your personal workflow/writing.
I'm just sticking with SONAR for now and will start learning more about Reaper because as much as I would like Cakewalk/SONAR to be revived somehow it's not looking good... and honestly I think MS would bugger things up WAY worse than Gibson (or Roland) could ever even dream of.
Personally (and I've said this before) I'd rather see the Cockos (Reaper) guys get the code and try to create a SONAR environment within Reaper... or just maintain the program at the least.
That would be up to Gibson though because they own the name and program code as far as I know.
Cheers, dude. Hope you are well.
