I have X2a but do not use it - I went back to X1 because of some of the rather minor but irritating graphical "bugs" and irregular crashes - perhaps they are not really bugs, but some of the graphics jumping around with the console view etc - and they seemed so weird and almost impossible to replicate.
So I went back to X1 and thought I would wait for the patch to sort all these little items out.......................................................
X1 is 100% stable for me now - when that was released it most certainly WAS NOT - that took FOUR patches to get right - X2 has had one patch then abandoned, which I have to admit I find is not really good enough.
Now, I will not be leaving Sonar any time soon, but the X2 experience has made me question where next - do I pay for an upgrade (which in itself might introduce new problems) to repair the X2 issues which should have been addressed by now, or do I stick with my stable X1 for the time being, whilst I have a look around at other DAWS, which in my case would probably be Presonnus.
Let's hope Cakewalk surprise us with a free patch soon before trying to get more money out of us.
