Vintagevibe & ohGrant, I (now) completely agree that paying $299 for a dongle + already having the processing power (my new build), it's just not worth it in the long run. I'm only a hobbyist (an amateur one at that) and do this for my personal enjoyment, but I do like to have a good collection of "quality" products/tools to use when needed.
 
I'm glad I could count on you guys on this and truly do appreciate your input......it cleared out my dilemma.

It's settled.....I'll be going with our very own twin Fabs (Bapu & Olpal......aka Kings of Plugs) route.
