Konradh - I believe you have mentioned Ivory II at least once. (That's a joke.)

But seriously, which ones have you been using? I'm putting them on my radar. Still thinking TruePianos would be nice.

I have Ivory II Grands.  It includes Steinway D (my absolute go-to for everything), a Bosendorfer, and a Yamaha C7 (which I used once for a Floyd Cramer type country track).  I cannot imagine anything being better than the Steinway in this collection.

That said, Synthogy has a new product called Ivory II American Concert D which is an American Steinway.   http://www.synthogy.com/products/americanconcertd.html

This is a lot cheaper than Ivory II Grands if you only need the Steinway.  Had this been available at the time I purchased, I might have gotten it.  Sound on Sound gave it a rave review.

You may find a virtual piano as good as Ivory II, but I seriously doubt there is one that is better.

Some people are annoyed that you need an iLok, but I have had no trouble with it.  Just another $40 to add to the price.

How does the Steinway sit in a mix?
I don't do solo piano stuff.
The C7 seems a bit brighter in the demos.
