Amp on the floor?

Why do they want us guitar players to bend over all the time?

Well Zonno...that certainly seems to have brought this thread to an end.

So, I'll derail it...What happened with your guitar/pickup modification? If you
posted the end results I missed them.

Doin' great Warren! and great to hear from you.

Trying to get back into recording. It's been a long time coming
and almost like starting over. Seems the tools have been sharpened
so maybe, even though it's slow, I'll get some good cuts.
Been on 16 bars for a few weeks LOL.

How's your world buddy?

Thanks, well, I have not finished it yet.
I did come a long way. I had the circuit working but not reliable.
I experienced that soldering more than two wires to the back of a pot without overheating the pot is difficult,
So took a break from this project, trying to find out what I'm doing wrong, considering options, etc.
I'm not in a hurry. I still have other guitars.
I will post results eventually.

Call me blonde... but..  if the whole point of the pedal board amp is so you don't have to lug around a huge amp stack...  and the amp outputs 180 watts... aren't you still going to have to lug around a huge cab or two (it has two speaker outputs) to plug it into?  In which case why not just take your amp stack?

I don't get it

I've never understood why old fashioned pots didn't have an extra lug for grounding the "case".

Having to solder to the casing is always my least favorite part. It always looks messy. :-)
