HI Larry
Agree about AD Drums - they have always been one of my favorites except one thing - their browser.....I don't know if you ever add into your AD library any third party products, well I have tried over the years (Platinum Steve Ferrone for instance) but they don't display correctly - a couple years ago one of the guys at XLN did tell me what you had to do but boy was it complicated and time consuming - so now I don't bother, which is the main reason I expect that AD have slipped a little in my drumler league table - certainly not near the relegation zone but not challenging at the top either!! It's a shame because whenever I do use them, they always sound great - last adpak I got was the Loud one which I have used a couple times already.

Nigel,

I hear you.  And the severe LACK of 3rd Party for AD is another thing that's frustrating about it...

I got Black Velvet (which is what you're calling Loud I believe - I think Loud is the matching MIDIPak) my last kit....it's very nice...

My wish for AD is that they would make a stand alone like AK. Yeah, third party support could use some serious simplification.

Just spent about 15min auditioning the stock kit. Very Dry, no vermouth, none, nada.

They do include some processed presets but for the most part they are dry and should fit well in most genres. The real beauty is, you can process these dry samples any way you want, You are in complete control over the final ambiance! I did not have time to check out the hand claps/slaps/laps or the included midi patterns.

Sorry for such a short review but, from my limited 15min with the library, I personally feel it was a worth while addition for anyone who is Addicted...

I'd be happy if they updated the player with more slots.  God forbid that I should be able to have a cowbell and a tambourine in the same kit!

You must be using the wrong version.... The AD versions of our libraries display correctly inside AD... Exactly like factory grooves.

I would like 2 more slots. One more tom slot and one for the Xtra.

Rail  -I actually stopped bothering to install third party stuff in AD a couple years ago, because i could never get them to display properly - did you reformat yours to display properly recently? If yes, FANTASTIC and a good sales point - most other libraries like Groove Monkee used to display in such a way as to be unusable.
If all yours are now done like the Zildjian Artist collection shown in the video, I will download and install the AD versions - that would REALLY be great - I can just hear the Steve Ferrone pack linked to the Black Velvet Kit!!!!!
If you could just confirm all your libraries are like the Zildjian one, I will stat to install ASPA - Thanks
Nigel
