Hi
Just received an email re this being on sale at the moment - 50% off
I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this - I've just downloaded the demo and will give it a try but if anyone has used this, would love opinions

I've tried their broadband 1176 emulation. It was OK, and probably priced about right at $15. With this one you get three of those, so perhaps $46 is reasonable. For myself, I'm holding out for FabFilter's future multiband.

Have not tried Tri-Comp's multiband but a few weeks ago I was searching the web to find what multibands were out there and I was surprised that Fabfilter had not yet come out with a multiband compressor.  You/I would have thought that Fabfilter would have produced one given that their Saturn is multiband.

There' actually a 50% discount at the moment - just need to put in the code 5634. I had some discount points as well so I got it for not much.
I've just been playing with it and I am quite surprised - it seems pretty good and quite versatile - I like the way you can solo and mix each band very easily.
For the 50% off price, not a bad little tool

I can already solo and mix each band independently using the Sonitus Multiband. Plus I have five bands instead of three, and I can adjust them all at once as a group if I want to. I also get meters for each band and an animated transfer curve, which helps set the crossover points and threshold. I can also bypass or mute individual bands, features I don't see in the Minimal Systems product. The Sonitus Multiband is actually a pretty nice plugin.

No M/S, though. That's always a nice feature, and the Minimal Systems product does have that. Neither plugins offer sidechaining, but then very few (only 2 that I know of) multibands do. That's one reason I'm anxiously awaiting a FabFilter multiband, because you just know it'll be a Swiss Army knife.
