A few random thoughts:
People who lack confidence are often the most fearful of different ideas.
Those who have no interest in listening or learning have no use for civil disagreements.
Are the TOS that hard to follow? Who cares that "they" got away with worse, and how is that supposed to justify wrongful action on our part? As far as I'm concerned if you can't follow the TOS you deserve to get a time out - and that goes double for my friends, who I'd like to think are worthy of higher standards, not lower ones.
If someone behaves immaturely, responding in kind is not the mature thing to do.
I like people who have different opinions than me, as sometimes it gives me a new perspective on things. Even if they're still wrong.

If only immaturity was purely a function of youth.
