Yep! Perhaps that is what will happen. Made in Asia, just as good if not better according to some people while people debate whether the USA version is always better but costs more, while the Epiphone version of Cakewalk made in Asia, sounds just as good but the cost is extremely much less.

Yep, hang on to your hats. Changes are coming!

P.S. Perhaps the plug-ins and soft synths will be 64-bit version in the USA version, and only 32-bit in the Epiphone version, but somehow according to some people, that Epiphone version sounds just as good (or even better).
And computing  power will be saved with the Asian version, allowing more to be done in Asia Cakewalk Sonar versions.

What can I say, perhaps it should be a fun day??

So it will look almost as nice as the "other" version, but the electronics will be cheaper inside?

No customization, no colors. Cheaper virtual knobs with virtual crackle when turned. Only runs on a tablet.

Unlimited tracks, maximum three minutes long.

But, but hey, you can get the ultra version which allows 5 minutes of recording, and self-destructs after listening to it once.

For very little price increase.

Maybe they'll produce a budget version with an uncanny resemblance to Cubase and they'll only manage to run off a couple hundred copies before the Steinberg lawsuit puts a stop to it (bear with me here in this clumsy reference to the PRS lawsuit and the Epiphone Spotlight (of which I own one)).

I'd never seen or heard of that one (Spotlight). Looks like a fine guitar, no matter what.
