The Maillard Reaction
I enjoy his videos and his efforts to keep stuff light and fun. Plus, the grammy for the Toots and the Maytals record seems impressive.

Heh Heh.

McQ said toots.

I'm sure he thought of Mooch when he said it.

Thanks Larry.

Curious - would this meter be any better or any different than what's included in Ozone 5?

Jr,

I like the size of this meter...and the features...especially for free...
the Dynamic Range in the center is useful also...hence the name..

I have T-Racks metering also...but this one is just more "there" for me...

To me, that is one of the great shortfalls of X2, the metering isn't great...
(ducks and covers for flying fanboi debris....)

I don't know about the metering in Ozone 5...I did the demo
awhile ago and don't remember the metering that well...

This one seems fairly accurate...and for FREE...it's GREAT!!!

Cubase finally incorporated a nice Metering system in V7
I don't know why these DAW's are so slow in implementing
NEEDED things like this, and FAST at getting "fluff" out...I guess
because "fluff" sells product...

I have several others...but have started using this one...
I'm old and this one I can see really well...

I just wish it were 64 bit...

There this one too, haven't used it a while but I see there's now a x64 'experimental' version.

Yep..I have that one too...If it goes 64 bit and they
update the interface I might switch back...

Still a good meter...especially for free...

These guys do a SUCH A TREMENDOUS favor to US with the "freebies"

It's smart on their part, because, if it's good, you should be willing
to help them out, or upgrade to a paid version, if one exists...

Many of them just do it for the love the art...and that says a lot
to me...about them...

All in all..you can do just about anything you want decently just with
the available "freebies"....not as well as with the big boys per se...
but just about as well, if you've got the ear for it....I've heard some
pretty amazing mixes with just "FREE" plugins...IJS...so you don't
REALLY have to spend an arm and a leg to get into this....
