Not yet..I'm still on X2a....

There has to be a sale...no offense to anyone, but
after 8 months of silence....and then to release a new
product, basically charging for bug fixes which did not
get addressed for 8 months with not a word, basically abandoning
X2....and then to up the price from last year by $50...
that's just not good business....very questionable...
regardless of how great X3 may be....now, with a
new acquisition in the works, more questions....

I'm not ready to take the plunge yet...

And I'm still waiting to see how this shakes out....
But I'm rooting for it...make no mistake about it...
I'm definitely in...when I can get it on sale, or they drop
the price...but not for $149...

After doing this for 40 years I've learned that, sometimes, it's best NOT to be the first
on the block to have it...and really, I don't need it at all...so, let's see how it
all pans out...

Ok...you can flog me now...

sure in a vacuum the $149 looks high.. however if you place value on the added extra included plugs, its a complete nobrainer.. Time based offers from Melodyne sweeten the deal too if you were up for that.. but its CW and there will always be sales.. $99 black Friday only sale anyone?..

me?..i would have paid the $149 for VST3 simply to finally integrate my Yamaha s70xs into projects, but the comping stuff looks good, particularly as I some recording sessions coming up

I just hope they actually keep up with the maintenance and this isn't just a way for them to say down the road "Look! We patched the program multiple times!!" When in reality X3a was already done before release and X3b would have been if they held of the release by what? A week? That's more like releasing an unfinished product then doing the final revs live. X3c will basically be the actual "a" patch as far as I'm concerned.

I got an email from Cakewalk yesterday or Thursday for an upgrade to X3 for $49.
I don't think they were writing to me, specifically, a longtime SONAR Home Studio 6 user, so I believe the actual upgrade price for me would be more.
I don't open those types of emails; they give me GAS.

Done and done.

Thanks for the heads-up Larry.
