No special deal offer here - which seems to be the favorite reason to post in this section.

Omnisphere has been around for years and so it's not newsworthy either.

But I'm going through training videos on it now in preparation for the relatively hefty buy and it really is a good piece to have.

I use Kontakt a lot and the main Cakewalk synths as well as some others. Like them all for their stuff, and Kontakt especially for all the great libraries you can add to it so affordably.

But I think Omnisphere is going to be a very important add for me. I get how the sounds are put together. I get how to configure it. It has tons of flexibility. And a very good interface.

I can see how you could use it to dial up a Gary Numan "Cars" sound, or how you could use it to create you own New Order vibe. The interface to get there is intuitive enough to allow you to shape a target sound without being a synthesizer professor.

So probably to rehash what people have said in this forum when it was news, this is a really cool synth if you haven't looked in to it.

I apologize in advance for any part I may have played in getting you sucked into the Omnisphere universe, lawajava. It's a rabbit-hole with no bottom. :)

Just last night I was watching TV and the opening chord of some show's theme song was a familiar Omnisphere patch. After using Omnisphere for a while I now hear it all over the place in television and movie soundtracks.

once you get Omnisphere then you get sucked into getting Trillian which works with omnisphere.
