An interesting trend here: with the exception of the often-mentioned VRoom, people generally seem to be happiest paying full price for virtual instruments over effects and processors. Is there perhaps a perception that you're getting more for your money buying things that make sound as opposed to things that make them sound better?

Then I will Add DDMF's IIEQ Pro and NY Compressor, probably worth 2-3x what I paid.

What other software makes the grade?

Anything by Genuine Soundware, especially VB3 organ:

Definitely worth 50 Euro. I would purchase it again if necessary.

[I recently switched to a US keyboard. Hence no Euro symbol. Where is it in Character Map?]

Interesting question...
In music I agree with the votes on Korg synths and Toneboosters, trackessentials being one of my best purchases ever.
I also paid full price for rocksmith but I'm not sure if that's music or games.
Anyway so much fun and improved chops with rocksmith that I have no regrets.

Other software, Scrivener - for those of you that write a lot.
