It looks like the next few months will be the time of the Threes.
Sonar X3 - I don't know but i think we will see X3 before the end of the year. It will be interesting to see what they add. I am pretty happy with X2 at the moment, a few small bugs excepted. I hope for a consolidation rather than a major re-vamp.
BFD 3 - I recently upgraded my ECO to BFD 2 so I am hoping for a good deal on the BFD 3 upgrade. I still have a lot to learn about BFD2 and do not find the interface nearly as intuitive as Superior Drummer so I am looking forward to the GIU update and the cymbal swells.
Sampletank 3 - I am certainly curious about what IK have up their sleeve and if it will come close to worrying Kontakt and Mach 5. The player will need to have some serious new features (scripting?) and the new factory library will need to be pretty exceptional to catch up after so long. But almost everyone and the dog has bought ST content in the zillions of sales and group buys over the past few years IF the price is right many will buy it just for the updated player.
