So the rock solid midi pack is the same as the one that came with rock solid...right? I thought it may be an expansion. Do the Steve Ferrone samples work well with EZ drummer? Are they mapped the same? I've heard a lot of good things about those. He's one hell of a drummer too. I've seen him twice. Once with Clapton in 88" and once with Petty in 2010.

Do any of you have any of Toontracks midi packs? I would like to find a simple rock and fills pack without the crazy stuff no one would ever use.

Get the midi packs with Martin Kristofferson (I hope I didn't mangle his name) as the drummer.  Very good grooves without the showboating.  The Songwriter groove packs are nice as well.

Platinum Samples also has some nice midi grooves to look at.  Steve Ferrone is the one I would recommend.

Martin Kristofferson did the Basic Rock and Basic rock fills midi packs I was looking at. That might be a good place to start.

The Platinum Samples are mapped for Toontrack products so work perfectly

I'm liking the Rock Solid. I'm thinking of getting the Indie Folk while it's cheap. The midi packs are always fairly cheap so I can get those later. Does anyone have opinions of the Indie Folk? I have decided to eventually get Toontracks Basic Rock and Basic rock fills, plus that Steve Ferrone one. Thanks for the input!

Americana would be nice too.
