The only thing I can't fathom is how you regular viewers Stateside put up with all the stoppages and advert breaks in the TV coverage. As I type, the game actually started 33 minutes ago, and they've only actually been in live play for 11 of those minutes.

It's the perfect TV game ... you get all the details that soccer won't allow you to deal with, and supposedly hurt the game. It hasn't hurt the NFL one iota ... and it is more competitive than ever. You get the replays, and you get to see everything, and the referees use instant replay just fine.
Soccer, and Fifa, could learn a lot from the TV side of this game ... you don't have to stop the 45 minutes thing, but there is a lot you could do to help the game ... but in general, a one minute stop at 22 or 23 minutes would likely speed up the game more and take the teams out of their bunker mentality sometimes. Also the rules for instant replay are not that big a deal, and usually only one or two affect the timing of the game.
Other than that, it was nice to see Adrian Peterson run a muck.
These days I don't root for anyone much, and I used to be a Raiders's fan, but the team has become so bad, that I wish there was some relegation so I would not have to watch it! But the team that is playing really well these days is the Seattle Seahawks.
Well, the Portland Timbers are not doing too badly, either! But they need a couple of wins badly!
